Mark and Nancy Hosking kindly facilitate the Metro Support meeting. They bring refreshments, get the key from MGA to get into the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church and welcome newcomers as well as our seasoned members who attend. On Monday, Sept. 12 Mark and Nancy found that the key to the church no longer worked. They tried calling the contact person for the church, but no answer. So, they looked around and found
that there was some outdoor/picnic furniture in back of the church. They pulled it all together for the attendees, three of whom were brand new, and they had a 2 hour meeting.
The next day we called the church to find out what happened. They apologized for not contacting MGA about the changed locks. They stated that someone from the church, on our meeting nights will open the doors and lock them after we leave. Amazing Grace Lutheran Church has been very generous to MGA allowing us to use the church for the Metro Support Meetings for over 15 years. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity and certainly forgive them for 1 mistake.
We also thank all the participants who attended the Sept 12 meeting for their patience and understanding. We especially thank Mark and Nancy Hosking for their ingenuity, great refreshments and kindness to new and seasoned MGA members – making all things work to the good!
